I have committed my life to Jesus Christ

You have become God's gift to Jesus Christ:  "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37)

You have made a decision that has cost you the rest of your life.  You are no longer your own, but have been bought with a price.  This is not to frighten you or cause you to have second thoughts, but to encourage you with the knowledge that Jesus Christ Himself has reconciled you to God.  You are in the safest place in the universe, because you are in Christ.

Well, that depends.  You probably fall into one of the following two groups.  Please choose the one that fits you best:

"I have no background with the Bible or Christianity.  This is all new to me."

"I have some church or Bible background, but I never made a real commitment to Christ."
