I believe that Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be

This is a life-changing realization, but intellectual assent is not the same as faith.  Jesus never told anyone to believe things about Him.  Rather, He said we are to believe in Him.

His invitation is to discipleship.  He said, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me," and "Whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple."

This is the challenge of authentic Christianity, and the thing that separates it from the "Christian religion" we see in many cultures.  True Christianity is not a business deal where we agree to believe certain things about Jesus, and then maybe get baptized or join a church, and Jesus agrees to take us to heaven when we die.  It's more like a marriage, where we agree to forsake everything and be totally committed to Jesus Christ, and He begins transforming us from the inside out.

He is not calling us to Christianity as a hobby.  Rather, He is calling us to a life of radical obedience.

He deserves it.  The final question is: Will you follow Him?

Do not make this decision lightly, impulsively, or emotionally.  He counsels each of us to "count the cost."

Maybe YES?         Maybe NO?
